Highway guardrail is the steel safety system that runs along expressways, medians and bridge approaches to redirect an errant vehicle back onto the road instead of letting it cross into oncoming traffic or leave the carriageway. SinoBarrier manufactures the complete system — W-beam and thrie-beam sections, posts, spacers, end terminals and fixings — in-house, galvanized to AASHTO M180 and crash-tested to MASH TL4.
The two beam profiles we roll
Every guardrail run is built from one of two corrugated sections. The choice comes down to how much deflection the site can tolerate.
- W-beam (double-wave): the standard profile for general highway runs, medians and ramps. Deep enough to contain a passenger car, economical enough to cover long distances.
- Thrie-beam (three-wave): a taller, stiffer section for bridges, high-risk curves and transitions where standard W-beam deflection is not enough.
What a complete guardrail order includes
| Component | What we supply |
|---|---|
| Beam sections | W-beam and thrie-beam, hot-dip galvanized 550 g/m² minimum, standard 3810 mm / 4130 mm lengths |
| Posts | I-beam, C-channel, sigma and round sections, drilled and punched to your drawing |
| Spacers & blocks | Offset blocks and spacer profiles matched to the post type |
| End terminals | Flared, buffer, fishtail and bullnose end treatments for the run ends |
| Fixings | Bolts, nuts and washers, hot-dip galvanized to match |
Standards we build to
Beams are rolled from Q235B or S355JR base metal and hot-dip galvanized to AASHTO M180. Assembled systems are crash-tested to MASH TL3 / TL4. Mill test certificates and coating-weight reports ship with every order.
