Road programmes across Southeast Asia put the same three demands on a barrier supplier: hardware that survives a hot, wet, coastal climate, documentation that clears customs without delay, and a delivery schedule that keeps a contractor’s programme on track. SinoBarrier supplies W-beam and thrie-beam guardrail and roller barrier systems into the region from our own factory in Shandong, China — shipped to 28+ countries on 555+ projects.
What we supply into the region
| Project type | System usually specified |
|---|---|
| Expressway and toll road | W-beam guardrail runs, median barriers and end terminals |
| Mountain and coastal roads | Roller barrier or thrie-beam where deflection space is tight |
| Toll plaza and tunnel approach | Rolling barrier where impact energy has to be absorbed, not just deflected |
| Bridge and interchange works | Thrie-beam transitions, bridge end terminals, posts and spacers |
| Port and industrial perimeter | Anti-climb roller barrier |
The climate drives the specification
Heat, humidity and salt air are what shorten a barrier’s life — not traffic volume. Two numbers in the specification decide how it ages:
- Coating weight. We galvanize to AASHTO M180 with a minimum 550 g/m² zinc coating on beams and posts. For chloride-heavy coastal alignments, specify a heavier coating class or a PVC-coated finish rather than relying on the standard class.
- Base metal. Beams are rolled from Q235B or S355JR, with a mill test certificate issued for every batch.
Standards accepted in the region
| Reference | Where it is called for |
|---|---|
| AASHTO M180 | Most toll-road and government specifications in the region, and the default reference for export projects |
| EN 1317 | Packages designed or funded to European standards, including tunnel and bridge works |
| National road authority specification | We build to the clause and drawing your engineer supplies |
Send the clause your engineer is working to and we confirm the section, coating class and hole pattern against it.
Delivery and paperwork
- Standard sections are cut to 3810 mm or 4130 mm for efficient container loading. Mixed consignments of beams, posts, spacers and terminals ship in one container.
- Export documents — commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin — are issued with the shipment. Form E documentation for ASEAN importers is available on request.
- Mill test certificates, coating-weight reports and crash-test documentation travel with the order, not after it.
- Production lead time is typically 15–25 days after drawing confirmation, depending on quantity and finishing.
Questions we are asked before a tender
Can you match a drawing from our consultant? Yes. Send the drawing or the bill of quantities and we return a take-off with section, length, hole pattern and a quotation.
Do you supply part loads? We supply full containers, and where a project is staged we split shipments against a single order instead of re-quoting each phase.
Who checks the loading? Loading is photographed and the container number and seal are recorded on the packing list, so your receiving site can check the consignment against it.
