South American road projects run from urban expressways to Andean mountain alignments and mining haul roads — three different barrier problems that rarely share one specification. SinoBarrier supplies W-beam and thrie-beam guardrail and roller barrier systems into the region from our own factory in Shandong, China, with documentation available in Spanish on request. Shipped to 28+ countries on 555+ projects.
What we supply into the region
| Project type | System usually specified |
|---|---|
| Urban expressway and ring road | W-beam guardrail runs and median barriers |
| Mountain and high-altitude road | Rolling barrier where deflection space and rescue access are both constrained |
| Bridge and viaduct | Thrie-beam transitions and bridge end terminals |
| Mining haul road | Heavy-duty W-beam runs, posts and spacers built to drawing |
Matching a national specification
Barrier specifications in the region usually reference AASHTO M180 for the galvanized hardware — sometimes alongside EN 1317 where a concessionaire’s design manual is European in origin. We build to the clause you supply:
- Coating. Hot-dip galvanized to AASHTO M180, minimum 550 g/m² on beams and posts.
- Base metal. Q235B or S355JR, with a mill test certificate issued per batch.
- Section and holes. Rolled, cut and punched to your drawing, including non-standard lengths for a specific alignment.
Freight and import
- Long transit times make loading density matter. Standard 3810 mm / 4130 mm sections are nested for efficient container loading, and mixed consignments ship together so a staged site is not waiting on a second container for bolts.
- Export documents — commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin — are issued with the shipment. Spanish-language packing lists and technical data sheets are available on request.
- Mill test certificates, coating-weight reports and crash-test documentation travel with the order.
- Production lead time is typically 15–25 days after drawing confirmation; we quote against your required port and Incoterm.
Questions we are asked before a tender
Can you quote both FOB and CIF? Yes — send the destination port and we quote both so the comparison is like for like.
Can the technical file be issued in Spanish? Yes, on request, for the submittal package your engineer has to file.
Do you supply replacement sections mid-project? Yes, cut to the original drawing so a repair run matches the barrier already installed.
