The anti-climb roller barrier is the security form of the roller barrier: a run of freely rotating rollers fitted along the top of a fence or wall so that a person cannot get a grip to pull themselves over. SinoBarrier supplies anti-climb roller systems for perimeter fencing, checkpoints and restricted-access facilities, in galvanized and stainless steel.
Where anti-climb rollers are used
- Perimeter fencing — prisons, airports, utilities and industrial sites.
- Checkpoints and gates — topping walls and gate lines where climbing is a risk.
- Restricted-access facilities — data centres, substations and secure compounds.
- Public infrastructure — bridges and structures that need climb deterrence.
How the anti-climb mechanism works
Each roller spins freely on its axle. When a person reaches for the top of the fence and grabs a roller, it rotates under their grip and their hand slips off — there is no fixed purchase point to pull against. The rollers can be fitted to new or existing fences with standard brackets.
Options we supply
- Galvanized steel — the standard exterior option.
- Stainless steel — for coastal, high-corrosion or high-visibility sites.
- Custom roller spacing and length — matched to your fence panels and post centres.
